Principles of a healthy lifestyle

How to live a healthy life? Already following a few simple rules can prove to us that this is not at all an impossible goal to achieve.

First of all - breakfast

Breakfast is an extremely important meal. It allows you to start the day well, so it is worth to reach for energetic whole-grain products - healthy and tasty.

Secondly, regular food

Calls for regular meals are not unreasonable at all. Eating at fixed times regulates the work of the body, accelerates metabolism and makes us feel less hungry to eat.

Thirdly, varied meals

It is worth making sure that our daily menu consists of a variety of products. The possibilities are not limited, and a colourful plate is the best proof that our meals are not monotonous. It is thanks to this that our body gains vitamins and minerals from various groups.

Fourthly, avoidance of highly processed food

The principle is simple - the more the product is processed, the less valuable it is. So-called sweets are particularly dangerous in this context. These are mainly empty calories and trans fats responsible for atherosclerosis.

Fifthly, the right amount of water

Our body loses water every day, so it should be supplied with at least two litres of water. It is the proper hydration of cells that makes our body function properly. It is also the best way to protect yourself from swelling.

Sixthly, physical activity

Exercises should be moderate and regularity should not be forgotten. This will improve the efficiency of the body, oxygenate the brain, and even improve our mental condition. If we don't have time to visit a fitness club, it's enough to go for a walk or change from car to bike once in a while. Exercise can be really enjoyable!

Seventh - relaxation

Everyone should have a little time just for themselves. It can be the time for a good book, favorite music or meeting friends. It is hard to find simpler pleasures, but they are of great importance for our mental balance.

Eighthly, working on one's own value

Many people tend to criticise themselves and blame themselves for things they have no control over. Not everyone can also accept compliments. The recipe for this may be to find your inner child. A child should be praised even for minor successes, so let's start praising this child, which we carry in ourselves!

Ninth - sleep

No matter how intensely we live, we must not allow ourselves to go without sleep. Sleep improves both physical and mental health and concentration.

Tenth - the principle of small steps

Big changes can never be made at an express pace. This is simply not possible and the sooner we come to terms with it, the better for us. Of course, challenging ourselves always deserves recognition, but it is worth remembering that actions that do not serve us should be eliminated systematically, but gradually. It is best to start with small changes such as giving up tomato salting or preparing a salad for breakfast. Over time, giving up old habits will become less and less of a problem.
