Stomach Reflux

Sclerosis is a symptom of disease, which consists in the feeling of painful baking, located behind the bridge, accompanied by an unpleasant, bitter taste in the mouth. Heartburn is usually described as a burning sensation in the oesophagus, and the ailments can vary in severity - from really small to even a burning sensation in the neck, throat, larynx or jaw corners where the pain is radiating.

Where does heartburn come from?

This unpleasant disease symptom is caused by the withdrawal of acidic food from the stomach back to the esophagus.

What can be the reason for this and what can help?

Heartburn occurs in many people - it usually passes quickly, but it makes life more difficult because it makes life less comfortable. Sometimes, for example, it is due to pregnancy - it can occur in both the initial and final stages of pregnancy. In other people, however, it is mainly due to poor nutrition. We must not forget, therefore, that it is worth not only treating the ailments that have already appeared, but also to act preventively - so that the heartburn does not return.

Treatment of heartburn

How can this be done? There are several principles:

Avoid carbonated drinks as they smoke the stomach and promote heartburn and indigestion. They are not good for the digestive system.

In general, as many healthy fruits and vegetables as possible should be consumed, but citrus fruit, citrus juices and tomato juices are not recommended because of their acidity. They make the stomach content even more acidic, and from here it's just a step to heartburn.

Avoid chocolate and do not exaggerate with too much other sugars. Everyone likes sweets, but chocolate relaxes the lower point of the oesophagus, which is adjacent to the stomach. For this reason, it favours the retreat of the food content.

Avoid fatty and highly processed food because it increases the acidity of the food content.

Coffee and other stimulants (including alcohol) are conducive to heartburn, so it is better to reduce it.

6. consume products such as chickpeas, linseed oil, olive oil, soya and as many fruits and vegetables as possible (especially Brussels sprouts, melons and bananas).

7. many people think that mint and milk are great remedies for heartburn. In fact, this is the case - they bring immediate relief. This relief, however, is temporary and worth knowing about. Milk stimulates the stomach to increase the amount of acid, and mint weakens the esophageal sphincter. Just one hour after the improvement, there may therefore be a further deterioration - so it is better not to use these methods.
