We continue to teach our children the basic principles of hygiene, such as how we should take care of the cleanliness of our body or hands. Unfortunately, however, there is still no mention of eye hygiene, which, as it turns out, is equally important for us.
So what can we do to make our eyes feel good?
Here are some suggestions on how we can naturally protect our eyesight.
Protect your eyes from UV radiation.
We constantly hear about how dangerous UV radiation is for our skin. We must not forget, however, that it also has a negative impact on our eyesight and, what is worse, can lead to its damage. That's why, regardless of the season, we should get good quality sunglasses, equipped with a high filter.
Adequate light for reading
A night light is not the best friend of our eyes when we decide to read next to it. Its light is not bright enough for our eyes to get tired faster. Through such a habit we can start to have problems with our eyesight, which in consequence lead to its deterioration.
Adequate amount of sleep
Currently, many people use eye drops that reduce redness. They can really help us at a given moment, but in the long run they will not eliminate the problem. The best solution in this case is an appropriate amount of sleep every day and limiting the time we spend in front of computer screens or in front of TV sets.
4. carrot for eyesight
Rich in vitamin A, carrot is a wonderful vegetable, which has an extremely positive effect on our eyesight. Its consumption contributes to the protection of our eyes against various disorders, such as dry conjunctivitis, and diseases such as dust blindness.
Eye hygiene should be taken care of by all of us, but it is especially important for people whose family members suffered from glaucoma or cataract. In such a situation, it is also important to undergo regular eye checks and to visit a specialist if you notice a drastic deterioration in your vision or even eye pain.
