Besides, it is largely up to us whether we feel comfortable. Below you will find some practical tips on how to take care of your oral cavity after removing the eights.

First day after the treatment

Do not smoke tobacco products for the first 24 hours after tooth extraction. Delete hot, irritating and hard dishes from the diet. You can eat ice cream with confidence. Stop using alcoholic beverages. Do not drink through a straw. Relieve yourself of heavy physical effort, don't carry heavy things, don't go to the gym and sauna. In order to relieve pain and prevent swelling, use cold compresses. On the first day it is not recommended to rinse the oral cavity in order not to remove the clot formed in the place of the extracted tooth - it is a condition for proper healing of the tooth socket. On the following days you can gently rinse your lips during normal hygienization and tooth brushing activities. If you sneeze, try to do so with your face open so that it does not cause high pressure changes in your mouth.

Pain relievers

Usually over-the-counter painkillers such as those containing ibuprofen or decketoprofen are sufficient. If you have a stomach disorder after analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs from the NLPZ group (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), ask your pharmacy for an additional PPI (proton pump inhibitors) protection drug. There are people who have a low pain threshold and need stronger medicines. You should tell your doctor and ask for a prescription.
