Dance classes are a safe and exciting form of movement. They allow to shape the body, as well as perfectly influence the psyche, emotions or self-confidence. Dance classes can be taken at any age, but it seems to be particularly important for the youngest. Children and young people can gain from dance classes not only the development of specific skills and passion for life. Dancing in a child's development has far-reaching effects.

We teach not only dance

It is obvious that in dance classes we learn how to dance. If our child joins the Universe teams, she will be able to shape her skills and acquire new ones under the guidance of experienced coaches in many styles, so that each child will find a kind of dance that suits him/her. Universe ensembles work with children up to the age of 11 and with young people aged between 12 and 15, teaching jazz, modern, classical and derivative dances. After this time, if the passion persists, you can join a group of dancers over 15 years of age, this opportunity to continue is extremely important for older youth. However, is it worthwhile to register your child for dance classes at all? Are they superior to other forms of movement? Research indicates that yes. One of them, conducted by Dr. Perta Jansen from the University of Regensburg, shows that a group of children attending dance classes achieved better results in mental tests than a group of children using traditional gymnastics. This example shows that movement itself does not have such a positive effect, but the need for synchronization, which is essential in dance, which stimulates neural pathways. Dance improves memory, perceptiveness, orientation, attention and creative and movement intelligence. Dance exercises also develop reflexes, movement coordination, perceptiveness, teach discipline. The latter will be an extremely valuable added value for older teenagers who are going through a phase of natural rebellion during this period.

And for adults?

Dancing is beneficial for people of all ages. The endorphins secreted during this process will allow us to get a better mood and will be an effective prevention of periodic, for example, autumnal mood drops. Dance is a number of benefits for our health:
- improves circulation,
- lowers blood pressure,
- reduces the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease,
- reduces the risk of obesity.
As with children, adults also benefit from the additional benefits of dancing, such as improved concentration (this can be crucial for seniors, coordination is important for them and dancing skills can protect them from dangerous falls at this age). At all ages she shapes the correct posture of the body and teaches coordination. For some adults, it can also be a cure for shyness, teamwork and the satisfaction we achieve through progress can support us in every other area of our lives. Dance, unlike many sports, is a natural form of movement such as walking, swimming or running through it much safer than strength or other sports.
