- There are nourishing substances that are extremely important and extremely helpful for psoriatic skin. Such compounds include, among others, components of mare's milk, which is available in the form of a supplement. This group of patients should also know what they are not allowed to eat. There are also products that improve the condition of the skin. This is how vegetable fats work, for example. The best ones are those rich in Omega 3, e.g. linseed or rapeseed oil. The nutritionist also recommends the use of oil: - Olive has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system and heart function, diseases that often affect people with psoriasis - adds Magdalena Kurzyp.
In the case of meat, patients with psoriasis should rather look for lean meat, e.g. poultry or may reach for fish. Vegetables and fruit, which are a source of valuable vitamins, must not be forgotten either.
- If the patient is fierce and I really want to help myself and avoid those products that he is not allowed to eat and follow a proper diet, he can count on a very large amount of help in the treatment of skin symptoms. We have people who fall into remission, we also have people who suffer from a decrease in the number of skin lesions - explains Magdalena Kurzyp and adds. - Any change that does not occur is a small victory.
